I am thrilled to announce a new artisan and vintage market on South Congress Avenue in the heart of Austin: Market @ Snack Bar. Located in the restaurant's parking lot at 1224 S Congress, you'll find the eclectic variety you'd expect from local Austinites--handmade jewelry, repurposed vintage, handbags, photography and more with a different selection each day. Pearl Snaps, recently featured in Airstream Life magazine, will be there on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays this spring with 100s of western shirts, vintage boots, and good old cowboy belt buckles. Look for the little 1960s Airstream trailer across from Jo's Coffee. Drop into Snack Bar for great meal, then come out and shop Soco--shop local!

Annual SXSW Vintage Western Wear Sale

This is it--the week and and half that I'll be set up at Hill Country Weavers for my annual vintage western wear sale during South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin. I'll be there from 10 am to 6 pm from March 12 to March 21 with more boots, shirts, and belts than I've had for the past three years. Goods include:

• Over 1,000 pearl snap shirts for men & women
• Over 200 pairs of vintage cowboy boots in all sizes
• Western belts
• Vintage coats & jackets
• Vintage hats
• Other good stuff like vintage bowling, guayabera, and aloha shirts

While you're strolling South Congress, be sure to come by and check out the deals next to the fire station. You won't find these prices in the high rent vintage boutiques!

Warehouse Sale

Come out on Sunday, December 13 to my Warehouse Sale. With the cooler weather I've pulled out a great collection of vintage winter coats for women -- pea coats, big buttons, cashmere, wool, and lots of other detailed finishes. They don't make them like they used to!

In addition to the coats, I've got 170 pairs of boots, lots of women's pearl snap shirts, and hundreds of men's western button downs in all sizes. While you're hitting up the big box retailers on Friday for their Black Friday sales, don't forget the local guys, like me.
